"I am what I am...take it or leave me alone" - Rosario Morales
After spending most of my life trying to become someone I thought I should be -- or that someone wanted me to be -- I am finally just letting myself become me.
I am a woman entering mid-life and finding her way on this life's journey. I am a wife to a wonderful husband. I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, a cat collector, a spiritual seeker, a student of life, a tv watcher, a legal secretary, a West Virginian.
In January 2008 my husband had a mild heart attack. It was very scary, but in the end a great blessing, because it got us on the path of healthy living.
I have a great life that I am so very grateful for. I am loved by many wonderful people and cats. I am responsible for a beautiful little piece of God's earth. I have a great job. I am constantly learning and growing. I really could not ask for more.

"We need to find the courage to say NO to the things and people that are not serving us if we want to rediscover ourselves and live our lives with authenticity." - Barbara De Angelis
"It is imperative that a woman keep her sense of humor intact and at the ready. She must see, even if only in secret, that she is the funniest, looniest woman in her world, which she should also see as being the most absurd world of all times." -- Maya Angelou
"Life is sweet and juicy and constantly unfolding. If you play it right, you'll find that time brings wisdom, and the profound understanding that we're all in this together." – Oprah Winfrey
"We have the power to choose moment by moment who and how we want to be in the world." - Jill Bolte Taylor
"We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." - Marianne Williamson
